I did this concept illustration for HBO last year and it's the Great Sept of Baelor. It had to look different than the tv show, so for those of you who are fans, that's the explanation.

If you've bought the Season 1 DVDs and Blu Rays, then you'll see a ton of work that I did for the Guide to Westeros. I did hundreds of illustrations and the production company took those and incorporated them into something really cool which look like motion comics.

Hope you enjoy

A few days late, but legendary concept designer/matte painter Ralph McQuarrie and Art Center Alum is gone. I remember staring at his concept illustrations for hours on end when I was a kid, marveling at his design work as well as his cinematic paintings and mattes ILM used in the original Star Wars trilogy. He was definitely my top artistic inspiration growing up.

These were from May of last year for the series finale that just aired. I designed the lava bridge, griffin nest and griffin. 9.8 million viewers watched, but I don't watch the show(nor do I have a tv), so I have no idea how everything came out. Disney wanted everything to be highly saturated in all of the concept illustrations.
