Same chalk/pastel brush as yesterday:
Was listening to Hans Zimmer...

I was thinking about the times I've been to New York during the winter when it's been snowing and seeing Cardinals.

Default flat brush in Photoshop:

These quick paintings are a ton of fun.

I made a brush that's kind of like chalk/pastel a while back. I just used that one brush for this quickie.

I took so many pictures there last year that I literally overlooked a few images that I had wanted to make panoramas out of. Here they are in no particular order:

Lough Currane has the BEST Sea Trout fishery in all of Europe. Too bad I didn't get a chance to go. It was raining really hard that day.

This was taken somewhere in the vast, beautiful countryside on the way from Cahersiveen to Kenmare.

Ballinskelligs. Went to go check out Skellig Michael from afar as well as go buy some Ballinskelligs handmade chocolate. Skellig Michael is a very large rock in the middle of the ocean off of Ballinskelligs where monks lived in seclusion until the Vikings showed up and did what they did.

I love Galway. If there were any city I'd live in while in Ireland, Galway tops my list. Dublin would be second. This was shot during low tide and that water(crystal clear), even about 100 feet out was around knee-high all across the bay. I saw somebody walk from one side to the other.

I worked on this film for 3 months in early 2007 during very early pre-production doing character design (with the great (HB)Buck Lewis) and visual development. The characters all look pretty different now after Rhythm and Hues started working on it since they're the main VFX crew. I'll post some development sketches/illustrations as soon as the film debuts.
